Global Warming: Change Now Before It’s too Late

Global Warming is making our planet a worse place. Here are some tips how to reduce global warming, and answer questions.

Make a compost pile.

You might say, what the heck is a compost pile. A compost pile is a pile of scraps of food. You can make one right in your backyard. Compost piles help because if you have food unfinished, you can put it in the pile. Later, decomposers (bugs and stuff like that) will eat it, making it smaller and less garbage around in those piles of stuff. The they also help because then the animals can feast on smaller piles and less trash for them to finish eating.

Use bottles that can be refilled.

Why you ask. Why can’t you just like get a regular plastic water bottle and throw it away? Why? Well, each of those water bottles are going to sit there for the next thousand years. Just sitting there doing nothing. If you use one that you keep refilling, sure that works, but once it gets smelly, you probably won’t want it anymore, but your conserving a bit. But if you use one of those refillable ones that are plastic or metal, you can use them any time you want to.

Try to use swirly light bulbs, not the round types

So what? There both like light-bulbs aren’t they? Each of your regular light bulbs at home last about 4 months. The swirly ones, 8 years. That means if you were to use the same light bulb for those same 8 years, you would use 96 regular light bulbs. Just think how many you could save.

What about plastic forks, spoons and knifes?

Well, you some men in a state are making a bridge out of these plastic items. So I guess it’s okay that you can.

Who inspired you to write this?

A person in my school made a presentation about Global warming. How was she inspired? She was inspired by Al Gore.

Is the Government also trying to help reduce Global Warming?

Apparently, they are… NOT! Bush simply refuses to sign the global warming bill. Al Gore tried to run for president, but he failed sadly. Congress and The House of Representatives tried to pass a bill for it but the president didn’t sign it.

Big factories emit carbon, and carbon-dioxide into the air, making the air dirtier, but you can’t see all the little particles in the air though. In America, scientists are grading company gas emissions. That way, they know when they should change. The higher the number the better. The lower the number, the worse. Amazon, Apple, and Burger King got F’s. All 0’s. McDonald’s actually got a 22, which is okay. But you might say, hey, what about google? Google uses solar energy, and says that they were going to move to nuclear energy (what?) but didn’t. Apparently, they were joking.

You might just think now, so what? What’ the big deal on Global warming? Who cares about all those gas emissions? I mean were just kids? Well, maybe you can just not care about the world we live on and take it for granted. Sure, why not, go ahead. So maybe you just won’t care about those cute cuddly giant pandas anymore. Even animals are effected by it too! Polar bears’ lands are melting, giving their advantage for hunting lower. Now they have to swim miles just to get food. Imagine your a polar bear, swimming. You’ve already swam 3 miles now. You feel tired, you don’t want to swim anymore. You look around for a piece of ice to rest on, but there isn’t one and you begin to drown. Oil emissions. One day a huge oil tank was hit and began to sink, making oil spread. And so it covered some penguins’ land. Many were stuck and rescuers came it time. It was the biggest bird rescue in history.

So it’s your choice now. Don’t care, or help the enviorment and Earth, don’t listen to the messages, but soon, you might realize what’s happening to our Earth. So it’s your choice help or not.

  2. Accually…
I wrote this page by my self. I just did it becuase my mom told me to stop writing a bajjillion global warming perwasive (how ever you spell that word) essays. So I wrote it on my blog instead. I also got a bit of inspiration from that Oliva Harpel girl at school.

And and and it’s spelled “persuasive”. :3

Mod Edit- Really?! *gasps* Hrm… couldn’t you ferment them like grapes ^_^ I think you spelled “refrigerator” wrong… I thoughts you wons a spelling bee!

  5. the swirly bulbs are called “compact fluorescents”
